THE IMPACT OF INVESTMENT ON POVERTY IN BANYUMAS REGENCY
Abstract
Poverty is a very serious problem for developing countries as well as underdeveloped countries. This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, agricultural sector growth, human development index (HDI), and the amount of investment on poverty reduction. The data used are time series data from 2006 to 2019 which were obtained from the official publication of the Central Statistics Agency and the Regional Investment Coordinating Board for Banyumas Regency. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis models with the help of the EViews 11. The results of statistical analysis showed that economic growth had an effect on poverty reduction. Meanwhile, the growth of the agricultural sector, the human development index, and investment had no effect on poverty.
