This research aims to investigate the impact of career development on employee performance, with motivation as a connecting variable. The population in this research was 74 respondents who were lecturers in an organization. The data analysis method used was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach version 4.0. The findings of the research indicate that career development has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Furthermore, career development has also been shown to have a positive impact on motivation, and motivation itself has a positive influence on performance. Further findings indicate that motivation significantly links career development to performance, meaning that the better the career development opportunities provided by the organization, the higher the motivation that arises, thus influencing improved employee performance. This research emphasizes the importance for organizations to focus on career development programs as a way to improve both employee motivation and performance.
