UTILIZATION OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY FOR SHARIA HOTEL MAPPING AS A HALAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT EFFORT
Abstract
The essential roles in improving a country's economy are the tourism sector, and this sector can open a new job for the community. Therefore the tourism sector can be increased to the income of the gross domestic product (GDP). This research aims a develop technology based on blockchain for mapping assets of halal tourism management in the city of Surabaya because the city has the largest population Muslim in Indonesia. The specifics of this research is an implement blockchain to mapping Syariah hotel to support halal tourism used a heuristic approach to solve a problem for Muslims in searching for Syariah hotel, especially in the city of Surabaya. The first process is a create google maps-based digital map that can run on all users' mobile devices. Second is implement blockchain to save Syariah hotel data. The third is shows data from the previous process into the maps have been developed. All process can support the vision city of Surabaya to be a prosperous city with global competitiveness, and Muslims friendly.
