THE ROLE OF COMPENSATION IN MODERATING THE EFFECT OF LEADERSHIP AND TRAINING ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a conceptual understanding of the role of compensation in moderating leadership and training on academic performance. The population was 110 STIKES "X" lecturers in Pekanbaru, the entire population was used as samples (saturated sampling). The data were processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) SmartPLS. The results show that compensation plays a role in moderating the effect of leadership and training on academic performance. Leadership and training have a positive effect on academic performance. The results of this study strengthen agency theory about the contractual relationship of members and organizations in improving academic performance.
