The aim of this research is to determine the influence of democratic leadership style on employee performance, the influence of democratic leadership style on psychological empowerment, the influence of psychological empowerment on employee performance and the influence of democratic leadership style on employee performance through psychological empowerment as mediation at the Population Control Service, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment. And Child Protection, Indragiri Hilir Regency, located at Educational Path Tembilahan Kota-Riau 29212. The type of data in this research consists of qualitative data and quantitative data using descriptive analysis and verification analysis models, where the author uses descriptive analysis to describe the characteristics of respondents and research variables, while the author uses verification analysis to test the research hypothesis. Data collection methods use questionnaires, observation and library research. The statistical method used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) to test research hypotheses using SmartPLS 4.0 software. Based on the research hypothesis test, the results showed that there was a negative influence between democratic leadership style on employee performance. There was a positive influence between democratic leadership style on psychological empowerment. There was a positive influence of psychological empowerment on employee performance. There was a positive influence of democratic leadership style on employee performance through psychological empowerment.
