Abstract

The porpose of the study was to analyze the mediation of agency cooperation in influence of interpersonal communication on performance of the East Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate. The sample of  this research were 60 personnel was selected using a purposive sampling method. The results of this study were indicate that interpersonal communication and agency cooperation effect on the performance of the Traffic Directorate, and interpersonal communication influences agency cooperation. Furthermore, agency cooperation mediates the effect of interpersonal communication on Traffic Directorate performance (partial mediation). These results indicate that the highest improvement in Traffic Directorate performance can be achieved through the implementation of interpersonal communication practices. The results of this study strengthen the dynamic capabilities theory, which states that organizations can develop interpersonal communication to cope with changing environments.
